Holland Casino was de eerste partij die dergelijke schermen toont in hun casino's. Daarnaast heeft de Rabobank en scherm in gebruikt voor op evenementen. Zo werd het scherm door de rabobank gebruikt op de Emerce E-Day 2006.
Onlangs presenteerde ook Sharp een nieuw concept de Two-way TV, zo meldt de weblog Sneuphok. Een televisie waarbij twee verschillende uitzendingen tegelijkertijd getoond worden op 1 scherm. Gewoon op een volledig beeld...ach kijk ook maar gewoon naar het onderstaande YouTube filmpje.
In maart 2005 presenteerde Tom Coates, van de weblog Plastic Bag, een nieuw tv concept, Social Software for the Set-top box. Een concept waarbij twee-weg communicatie een vereiste is. Denk aan Instant Messaging meets de TV! Via een buddy-list kun je je vrienden uitnodigen om samen, maar dan wel op afstand, te kijken naar een TV-uitzending. Maar je kunt ook kijken waar je vrienden naar kijken...tv nu sociaal op afstand.
Maar waar Tom Coates ophoudt, begint Joost.com. Een waanzinnig mooi concept dat TV sociaal gaat maken. Het is TV via Internet, zoals Tom Coates bedoeld heeft. En een Nederlands bedrijf leidt de innovatie! Top heren, mooie screenshots. Ik ben benieuwd naar het echte resultaat.
