Gary opens his attack on all management which still is traditional and is only busy helping itself. Really great stuff!
Management is seriously out of date and not able to keep up with the problems we will face in the near future (Hamel)Hamel starts in the clip with a world where vision and strategy are done by, not a few managers but by thousands of people. And those people are customers, employees etc. Imagine an organization which is transparent so that even the salaries of management are open for everyone. Hard to imagine? According to Gary Hamel this is the future and it even happens now. Gary Hamel shares his view that "management" itself needs to be reinvented in order to accommodate the new needs of business. As technology has evolved and productivity has increased at a dramatic rate, management has remained almost unchanged. Allright, because the are so great here are some extra quotes. But please watch the clip. It is great.
Maybe we have reached the end of management. Maybe this is all we can do.
Management is now seriously out-of-date
