This news comes from one of the most popular newssources in The Netherlands so mostly I do not post about news which appers on that site. Just because mostly everyone reads that. But this one I couldn't leave unattended.
Touchscreens and other inputdevices are gaining in popularity that the oldfashioned computermouse is 'living' it's last years (Steve Prentice, Gartner)
A logical forecast when we think foreward from the latest trends and technological developmenst in touchscreens, movement sensors and speech recognition. Like Steve Prentice I also believe that the oldfashioned mouse will dissappear soon. And I also believe that round the year 2020 the way we interact with technology will be totally different. Humans will use their natural ways of communication like speech, gestures and mimic. This means that also the keyboard is doing it's last years. What do you think?
Rory Dooley from Logitech believes that the mouse will still be a long time one of the main inputdevices for our computers.
