First robot with biological brain (animat)

Two post in a few days about robotics. Is it a coincidence or is the world of robotics just developing very rapidly. Well I believe that robots are developing fast and even faster as we think. This is why there are so many breakthroughs in robotics. And Kevin Warwick just developed a robot (animat) with a biological brain. A brain which learns and moves a physical robot. With electrical signals developed from rat cells a robot on wheels is driving around the laboratory of the University of Reading. Professor Kevin Warwick is the man which leads the team working on this subject. The "brain" of the robot is connected via bluetooth and is actually artificially grown in the lab. The scientists hope that they can use the robot to understand more about how our brains work. The even hope to develop treatments for diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
