I believe that in a few years when will not be able to explain to our children how we drove in 2008. There are a lot of interesesting breakthrough innovation for cars ahead of us. The way we drive nowadays will change dramatically and rapidly. Of course all carbrands are spending a lot on innovation and not only innovation for new fuels. There is al lot of innovation to improve the safety of the car. one very interesting innovation are the Dynamic Active Displays. These are a kind of head up displays for cars. With laser information is projected on the windshield of the car. This is information to improve safety pro-active. Like objects on the road which the driver wants to follow. When there are objects like children around the next corner the driver is warned by the Dynamic Active Display.
I found the technology behind the active displays in cars very interesting. But still the major factor to omprove safety in cars is the prevent people drive the cars themselves. If we want a fully safe car we must let technology take fully control of the car. And still this vision is far ahead of us. But the active displays are again a great innovation to improve safety
