Gerd Leonhard(media futurist,
mediafuturist.com) before on Extend Limits. He is an inspiring media futurist. Gerd thought about how the world would look like, or better, what the consequences are when everyone is connected. For this he has eight points about a fully connected world society.
According to Gerd nowadays only 3 percent of the world population is connected via broadband and this will change within 3 - 5 years. This will have mayor consequences. Gerd mentioned the following eight:
1. Self expression becomes 'auto-on'
everyone will post online pictures, photos, videos etc. (life caching).
2. Privacy is no longer a given but a bargain I must ask for
3. Intellectual property is redefined:
We will see the rise of the 'sharing economy'
4. Individual actions are always visibly and instantly impact others;
lot of we do will be visible and shared via the internet
5. We start trusting strangers like me;
we will trust people sooner via the internet
6. Economic egoism becomes harder to get away with:
Focus on profits and capitalism will not be accepted any more by the audience
7. Content will also include actions and data between users;
content will be the result of the cooperation between consumers/individuals and not only be the work of professionals.
8. Filtering becomes a lot more interesting crucial than mere getting
The eight consequences show in my opinion the need to work towards online visibility and authority. And that is something you have to start with today because it takes a lot of time.

Goed stuk. Helemaal mee eens. Vooral punt 6 spreek mij erg aan.-----
