Wave power, our future energy supply

The near future of sustainable energy will bring us a new innovation named wave energy.

The search for new ways to gain environmental friendly energy is still going strong. We have to because the fossil fuels have had their longest days. Today there are already a lot of ways to find 'new energy' like solar power and wind turbines. But there is a 'new' sustainable form of energy and it is called wave energy.
There are several ways and innovation to 'generate' the energy from the sea. One of them is the so called Wave Rotor. This is like a windmill under the water. A demo version of this will soon be build in the Dutch 'Westerschelde'. But Denmark already uses such a system.
Another way to generate wave energy is the sea snake or Pelamis. This is something the British government believes in so they given it a lot of money to realise it. But there are already countries which already have a wave plant existing of sea snakes. Portugal is such a country. Another innovation on wave power is the so called AquabuOY (clip). This way to get energy from the waves will be introduced in Australia.
When we look at all these initiatives we may, and I believe can, conclude that wave power is something for the near future. This brings us to the point that our oceans will become in the future our most reliable sources for energy! What do you think?

Het is een bekend fenomeen. De kracht van de computer om ons mensen er nog mooier maar vaak onechter uit te laten zien. Filmproducent Jesse Rosten creëerde een 'parodie commercial' omtrent de maatschappelijke normen en waarden rondom schoonheid en de rol van de schoonheidsindustrie hierin.
Het internet heeft sinds haar ontstaan veel veranderingen teweeg gebracht. Google is hieromtrent een speciale website gestart die moet uitgroeien tot een uiterst interessante verzameling van wetenswaardigheden over de impact van het internet.
