Fujitsu developed a technique which allows to print information on paper which is invisible for the human eye but visible for camera's and other technology. This technique can have huge opportunities for the printing industry.
"The concept is to be able to link the printed page into the digital domain," (Mike Nelson, general manager sales Fujitsu Europe).
The static information of printing can have an extra dimension by this development. Extra information can be added trough a invisible link on the printed content toward the unlimited virtual world.
Printed materials can connect to the online world by storing information which tells the phone to connect the web.
The first commercial use is a fact. In Japan there is a Music Club which sends the codes into flyers to subscribers which allows the flyers to see extra music and videos.
