Nikola Tesla worked on the idea (from 1856 to 1943) on how to transport energy wireless. And Nikola succeeded in creating wireless lighting, that was known as the Tesla effect. So, the concept is not new. And although the technique for wireless recharging of devices has advanced, the technique has not yet been adopted (see also
wired).
The basis for this technique is induction. Creating a force field that if appliances are within range, they can recharge themselves. But in a world where wireless connections have become mainstream, why hasn't this been done for electricity? We all have mobile devices, cell phones, that are all very dependent on batteries. The good news is that more companies are increasing the R&D on wireless energy sources. Hence, a new era is upon us. And let's face it, what are we without our mobile devices today?
There are two companies that we would like to introduce:
Wildcharge and
Splashpower.

Maybe, wireless energy will be the future for a more sustainable environment. There are persons that believe in placing power stations in orbit and beaming energy towards earth. And although this looks like a far fetched idea, it is actually possible. And maybe in the near future, we will not need are recharges and power sockets!
