Time magazine came with a few examples of technologies which are specifically developed for the elderly. Here a selection.
The health E-chair:
This chair with electronic bio sensors measures for example weight and blood pressure. This happens when a person sits in a chair. The results can be transited by phone line to a medical control centre of a patient can read his results from the screen of a TV set. More info: Commwell, Inc.
Glasses with a memory:
The glasses are developed by MIT's Media Laboratory. The have a tiny name-storage device that picks up the identification signal cell phones send and then searches a database find the aching name. The is then projected on the glass. Tests have shown the subliminal prompt is enough to improve name recall by 50%.
'Intelligent' phone:
This phone can help Alzheimer's patients in the early phases of the disease. The Intel phone has a screen that shows the caller's picture. It also shows the name with a note typed or recorded by the two parties after their previous phone conversation, describing what they had discussed. Very useful. also for me

.
Besides these three examples the technology companies invest a lot in innovation for the elderly. You know more examples, please let me know.
