The best innovations bridge different worlds. Senjo does this. The research for another blog brought me to this concept technology. Senjo is a technology that helps hearing impaired people to communicate with people that do not know sign language. The concept consists of a wearable computer and sensors that translate spoken words and sign language. The impaired people can use sign language that the computer will translate into spoken words. The not impaired people can just speak and the computer will project the appropriate sign language on special 'glasses' that are part of the system. The design won a
Red dot award in Germany and many other awards for its social contribution.
