What will the future of the Internet be? A questions which many people pose and contemplate. PEW Internet surveyed the visions of the Internet in the year 2020.

Most interesting fact is that most of the participants in the survey had the same vision of our world wide web. Here are some remarkable outcomes of the survey.
1. The Internet will develop into a network which makes it possible to deploy new services, products and opportunities against very low costs.
2. Humans will remain in control in a world full of technology, artificial intelligence en smart agents. 42 percent thinks that it will be hard for humans in our new technology driven society to remain in control. They think that technology will eventually take over control.
3. Virtual Reality will result in a world where people life and work. Many people will get addicted to this new world and might result in new addiction problems.
4. There will be a group of people named Techrefusnics who life outside the worldwide network. These are the people who don’t want to be connected with technology and the new world.
5. English will become the main language on the Internet.

Een mooie en inspirerende video over het belang van vragen stellen en om nieuwsgierig te zijn en te blijven. Voor veel management is deze video wel een 'must see'!
Microsoft Research heeft hoge ogen gegooid met hun 3d hologram dat ook nog tastbaar is. Nu hebben we al eerder over ontwikkelingen binnen de 'hologram wereld' gesproken maar Microsoft Research zet weer een belangrijke stap met hun Vermeer project.
