We received a great tip from Remko about Nikko Home Electronics. I am a big fan of Star Wars (those good old days ...
) so I think the two new products of Nikko are absolutely great. So I cannot wait untill November 2007 when the two R2-D2's hit the market.
Nikko designed a R2-D2 Skype webcam with an intergrated skype phone in the shape of a lightsabel. The lightsabel is the remote control of R2-D2. besides this there will be a limited edition R2-D2 which is a mobile entertaiment systeem. So this futuristic R2-D2 projects films, dvd's everything which has an image. Just like the movie I would say! The remote control is in the shape of the Millenium Falcon.
It is great to see how functionality integrates into great designs. Have a look at the movie where the stuff is demonstrated.

Een mooie en inspirerende video over het belang van vragen stellen en om nieuwsgierig te zijn en te blijven. Voor veel management is deze video wel een 'must see'!
Microsoft Research heeft hoge ogen gegooid met hun 3d hologram dat ook nog tastbaar is. Nu hebben we al eerder over ontwikkelingen binnen de 'hologram wereld' gesproken maar Microsoft Research zet weer een belangrijke stap met hun Vermeer project.
