Future supermarket in Germany

It is the future supermarket situated in western Germany in Toenisvorst (near Dusseldorf). In this supermarket a robot 'walks' around telling it's customers about the latest innovations in the store. For example you can use your mobile phone as a personal shopping assistant. With the camera on your phone you can scan the bar codes and the products are automatically added to your account. All the products in the freezer have microchips so the freezer knwos exactly when a new product has to be ordered. You can even play an interactive game on the floor of the fish department and with a special card you can taste several wines. And if you don't like all this fancy technology while shopping you can also do it the old fashioned way.

We see more and more innovations in super markets. Just think about the pay by fingerprint pilot at the Dutch Albert Heijn. A pilot which can on the news today because the method of payment is easy the hack. I think all these innovations show that the way we shop will change radically. I think our mobile phone or other personal devices will become very important in the future of shopping. That is why I like the idea of the supermarket in Germany where you can download software on your mobile phone for free to make your phone a personal assistant while you shop.
