The BBC started with a pilot round user generated news. The initiative is called Your news and it is based on stories, video, questions etc. from the public.

One of the reasons for the initiative is that the BBC receives 10.000 e-mails a day with questions and stories which are relevant for news.
The program Yournews will contain two important subjects, Your stories and Your questions. Your stories are coverages form the public. Your questions will contain coverage from reporters of the BBC who try to answer questions from the public.
"Your News will reflect the stories catching our audience's eye and talk to them directly about the issues they feel really matter."

Het internet heeft sinds haar ontstaan veel veranderingen teweeg gebracht. Google is hieromtrent een speciale website gestart die moet uitgroeien tot een uiterst interessante verzameling van wetenswaardigheden over de impact van het internet.
Microsoft Research heeft hoge ogen gegooid met hun 3d hologram dat ook nog tastbaar is. Nu hebben we al eerder over ontwikkelingen binnen de 'hologram wereld' gesproken maar Microsoft Research zet weer een belangrijke stap met hun Vermeer project.
