Our differences in language is still too often an obstacle in the communication between people. Technology promises already for years to give the solution for this problem. And this solution is closer than before.

With the development of more intelligent mobile devices and speechtechnology the future of communication without the differences in language seems to be close. In our book about the year 2020 we predict a world were there are no troubles in communcation caused by language. , And still I believe that this future of communication is near. Technology will translate in real-time our dialogues with people from other countries. And this is already possible. Two examples of this are Jibbigo andSahkr. Both applications are launched recently.

The best of these two examples is that they work easily. It is a pity that only modern standard arabic (via Sahkr) and Spanish (via Jibbigo) are being developed as languages which can be translated in real-time. But of course more languages will follow. Will these technologies on smart mobile devices help us to break down the differences in language and help humans communicate worldwide easily? What do you think?
