I am currently building my new company Quo Vide with my Partners, Jeroen Deken and Mark Rosbergen. Quo Vide is Latin for ‘see this’ and this is precisely what we do…we uncover hidden values in your content, your contacts and combine the results via our application Social Search.

Futuring
Together with Tony Bosma I have written a book, 2020, een hel(s)e onderneming , with which we hope to inspire dutch managers on looking ahead into the future. The book gives a story on how organisations have been formed based on numerous events, developments and trends in the ‘past’. The book is written as if we were already living in 2020 and are looking back at the past fifteen years.

We are currently creating our follow-up on this book, the 2020 workbook. Again, together with Tony Bosma and a new talent, Ellen Roest. The 2020 workbook will be for managers (and consultants) and will focus on how to set-up a futuring workshop and deal with the results.

I do not believe in large corporate wide searches for the future, but rather small Gideon gangs that actually create a working scenario and taking the advantages from it at a more modest level, the department! The 2020 workbook will support this believe.

Presentations
On the various subjects I regularly give presentations, I have two presentations on futuring and one presentation on Social Media.

The futuring presentations are:
* Futuring - the future becomes you - tells some trends and what the general future will be like
* Tomorrow’s consumers - tells a story of consumer trends and the polarization of generations and the effects on our future.

The Social Media presentation focuses on a more down to earth subject of Social Networking, Guided Search, Social Media and the effects, advantages and usage for corporations. What are the trends and new marketing possibilities.

Personal
I am married with Meriam and together we have two lovely sons, Tom and Jamie. My hobbies include scuba diving (PADI), watching blockbusters and reading books, any book that is!
